1 Site Operator
This Site is operated by:
| Operator name | Matsumura Shinobu |
|---|---|
| Contact email | owner@uekipedia.jp |
| Location | Japan |
References to “we,” “us,” and “our” in this policy refer to the Site operator listed above. For purposes of the GDPR, the Site operator acts as the “data controller” of personal information processed through the Site, except where stated otherwise.
2 Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information collected automatically: When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through Google Analytics, such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site. See Section 3.
- Information from advertising partners: Google AdSense may collect and use data to serve ads, as described in Section 4.
- Information you provide directly: If you use the contact form, we collect the information you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, and message. See Section 5.
- Cookies: The Site uses cookies to support the functions described in Section 6.
We do not require visitors to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect more personal information than is necessary for the purposes described in this policy. We do not knowingly collect any of the “sensitive” or “special category” information defined under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA.
3 Google Analytics
This Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”), to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Approximate (city/region-level) location, based on IP address
- Device, browser, and operating system information
- The website that referred you to the Site, and links you click on the Site
This information is collected anonymously or in aggregate form and is not used by us to identify you personally. The data is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be located outside your country of residence, and is processed in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy. See Section 11 for more on international transfers.
You can learn more about how Google collects and processes data at Google’s “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services” page, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4 Advertising (Google AdSense)
This Site displays advertisements through Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Note for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: this Site does not currently display a cookie-consent banner or other consent-management tool before advertising cookies are set. If you do not want Google AdSense to set advertising cookies on your device, please use the opt-out tools above, or block or delete cookies through your browser settings, before or during your visit.
We do not control the content of the advertisements shown on the Site, nor the data practices of advertisers or ad networks. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Ads Services data processing terms for further details on how it handles data in relation to ad serving.
5 Contact Form
If you choose to contact us through the contact form on the Site, we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, and the content of your message.
This information is used only to:
- Respond to your inquiry, question, or feedback;
- Follow up if needed regarding the content of your message; and
- Keep an internal record of correspondence, where reasonably necessary.
We do not use information submitted through the contact form for marketing purposes, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary to respond to your request or as required by law.
6 Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. In addition to the cookies used by Google Analytics and Google AdSense described above, the Site may use cookies for purposes such as:
- Remembering display preferences (for example, language or layout settings)
- Maintaining basic site functionality between pages
- Measuring how the Site is used so that it can be improved over time
Categories of cookies used on this Site
| Category | Strictly necessary |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Required for basic site functionality (for example, remembering settings between pages). These cannot be switched off, and under ePrivacy/GDPR rules do not require consent. |
| Category | Analytics |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Set by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (see Section 3). |
| Category | Advertising |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Set by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads, and where applicable to personalize them (see Section 4). |
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including refusing cookies entirely or deleting cookies that have already been set. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of the Site.
Note for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: this Site does not currently use a cookie-consent banner or other consent-management tool to obtain prior consent before setting analytics or advertising cookies. If you do not consent to non-essential cookies, please configure your browser to block or delete them — see Section 13 — before or during your visit. We are working to align our practices more fully with applicable consent requirements over time.
7 Third-Party Links and Content
The Site may contain links to external websites, and may display images, embeds, or other content originating from third-party sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
8 How We Use Information
Information collected through the methods described above is used to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can make it more useful;
- Display advertising through Google AdSense;
- Respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form; and
- Comply with applicable laws and protect the rights and safety of the Site and its visitors.
9 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the GDPR requires us to identify the legal basis on which we process your personal information. We rely on the following bases:
| Processing activity | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running Google Analytics and Google AdSense, including setting related cookies | Our legitimate interest in understanding Site usage and supporting the Site through advertising, balanced against your right to opt out at any time (see Section 13) |
| Strictly necessary cookies and basic site operation | Our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website |
| Responding to messages submitted through the contact form | Our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries, and/or your consent in submitting the form |
| Retaining records, and disclosures required by law | Compliance with a legal obligation |
Note: this Site does not currently operate a cookie-consent banner. Where analytics or advertising cookies would, under a strict reading of applicable ePrivacy/GDPR rules, require your prior consent rather than reliance on legitimate interest, you can achieve the equivalent outcome by opting out through the tools described in Section 13, or by blocking such cookies in your browser before visiting the Site.
10 How We Share Information
We do not sell visitors’ personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense described under CCPA/CPRA, except as described below in connection with Google AdSense. Information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- With service providers such as Google (for Analytics and AdSense), to the extent necessary for them to provide their respective services;
- Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; or
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site, its operator, or others, as permitted by law.
Because Google AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on activity across multiple websites, this sharing may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA, even though no money changes hands. See Section 15 for how to opt out.
11 International Data Transfers
The Site is operated from Japan, and the third-party services described in this policy (including Google Analytics and Google AdSense) may store and process information on servers located in the United States or other countries outside your own. Where personal information originating in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland is transferred to a country that has not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, such transfers are made on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as implemented by our service providers (including Google).
12 Data Retention
Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. Information submitted through the contact form is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to address your inquiry and for our internal records, after which it may be deleted. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
13 Your Choices
You have several options to control the information collected about you when using the Site:
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies;
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, as described in Section 3;
- Adjust your Google Ads Settings or use industry opt-out tools, as described in Section 4; and
- Choose not to submit information through the contact form.
Depending on your location, you may also have additional rights under applicable data protection laws — see Section 14 if you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, or Section 15 if you are a California resident. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 19.

- Right to correct — to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;

- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA beyond what may be incidentally processed through standard analytics and advertising cookies; and
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
How to opt out
You can opt out of the sharing of your information through Google AdSense by adjusting your Google Ads Settings, using the tools at www.aboutads.info, or by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control) in your browser, where supported.
How to submit a request
To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct, please contact us using the details in Section 19 with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, in accordance with CCPA/CPRA requirements.
16 Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16, for purposes of the “sale” or “sharing” restrictions under CCPA/CPRA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can remove it.
17 Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we receive from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
18 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
